23/11/2010      Myself and Philip Hankey decided it was time to have another meeting. I sent a msg to the other group members to meet in cairnes at 2. Cormac, Adrian , Philip and myself were in attendance. we confirmed topic titles and began to write an introduction.We also agreed to edit the project as a group.


When I went home , i had received an email from Philip of the introduction. i re frased some of the piece. but overall it was fine anyway.


25/11/2010       I began to write my final draft of my report. I finished my piece on    Business and the Internet and Disriputive Technologies in Education. I googled Rossetta Stone aswell as looking for stats on the internet on home schooling.


26-27/11/2010    I edited my first page and then began to work on and complete  

     IS in a changing world. I feel that this was the most difficult part of my project. I also goggled Harvard referencing and emailed the other group members this document. 

22/11/2010      Began to research for my  piece on IS in a changing world, googled :

*information systems role in globalisation 

* examples of information systems 

* development of information systems in education

21/11/2010      Emailed philip Hankey with reference to setting a completion date with aswell as offering to edit the project. I also offered to write the opening and closing part of the project.

07/10/2010      Got first notice of our MIS assignment, we were told to go onto moduleboss to register.I set up a group called welovems and invited Robin Corbett, Cormac Fay, Philip Hankey, Adrian Breen and Conor Keville to join. There were only 5 places available and 6 wanted to join. I said it was first come first served basis. Unfortunately Conor keville missed out on his place on the team.

13/10/2010       Discuss with Adrian and Philip the need for a meeting with the group, Philip feels that we should wait until we find which Industry Sector we receive before we meet. Myself and Adrian agree with him.

14/10/2010        Attend my Mis tutorial. Learn how to use doodle, meeting wizard and crop website pages etc. I also use the time to read over the assignment out line once more.

18/10/2010       We receive our Industry. We have a choice between Education , Government and Television and broadcasting

19/10/2010      After our Economics lecture we talk about the need for a meeting. We decide that we should meet at cairnes at 2.30

(2.30)First meeting commences,all members are present. We debate over whether we should do education or Government. We decide to investigate the impact of IS on Education.

We then sub divided education into dep. of education, 3^rd level, secondary level, Primary level and exam/special education.I wrote the 5 topics on  5 different pieces of paper. We each picked a piece of paper. I got Primary level education. Im happy enough with this topic as I recently noticed on a visit back to my primary school a huge increase in the use of is in primary level education.

08/11/2010     Went to the library to read over the assignment outline to make sure we were addressing the project correctly because Philip had briefly questioned whether we were addressing the project correctly.I also read over all our lecture heading ,as Philip thinks we should incorporate these into our project

15/11/2010     Receive an email from Philip with week 1 management document. I read over these documents and email him my thoughts on them.

17/11/2010     Received an email from Philip, saying that these are the title that he thinks we should do. I decide to choose  2. IS in a changing world and 11. Business and the Internet. I later receive a reply saying that these 2 heading are still available.

                         I also read Philips bloghttp://welovems2010.blogspot.com/ I email again to tell him how impressive it is.
